Three Courses, Three Jobs

What's the difference between Adult MHFA, MHFA Champion and MHFA Aware?

The difference is depth. Adult MHFA qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider. MHFA Champion builds confidence to champion mental health at work. MHFA Aware gives everyone the essentials in four hours.

Think of it like physical first aid: some people are trained first aiders, and everyone else knows when to call one.

  • Adult Mental Health First Aid: you become a qualified Mental Health First Aider. 2 days, or 4 online sessions. Up to 16 people, £325 plus VAT.

  • Adult MHFA Champion: you become a mental health champion. 1 day, at your workplace. Up to 16 people, £200 plus VAT.

  • Adult MHFA Aware: you become mental health aware. 4 hours, at your workplace. Up to 25 people, £150 plus VAT.

All three are MHFA England courses. Adult MHFA runs as open courses in Winchester, London and online. Champion and Aware are booked in-house for your team.

A common mix: train a few Mental Health First Aiders, and give everyone else Aware.

Peter Larkum, MHFA England instructor since 2009.
