Lisa Richards—Moving Beyond Grief & Loss

Grief and bereavement — two topics we'd rather not talk about and yet these are two topics we all experience at some point in our lives. Lisa and I will be talking about why these are so hard to talk about, as well as exploring the healing available to us when we learn how to talk and open up about our own experiences.

Lisa Richards’ bio

Lisa Richards is a “Heart with EARs” whose world changed forever at the age of 19 when her Mum decided to end her own life. Whilst she survived and became a living reminder of that day, the effect on Lisa was profound and 8 years later despite outwardly looking fine, she suffered a breakdown and suicidal thoughts.

In contrast to her Mum, Lisa sought help and decided that if she ever recovered she would help others to do the same. 25 years later she is doing just that having trained as a Grief Recovery Specialist and Mental Health First Aider.
