Why I Created Mentality (And Why I Believe It Had to Exist)

Poor mental health costs UK employers over £56 billion annually. 

  • That's more than £2,700 per person per year.

But here's the kicker - investing in mental health gives you £5 back for every £1 spent. (£10 back if you create company wide initiatives)

So why wasn't everyone doing it?

I kept seeing the same pattern in companies:

  • Senior leaders wanted to help but didn't know how

  • Managers felt unprepared for mental health conversations

  • Employees were struggling but staying silent

  • HR teams were overwhelmed with reactive crisis management

The missing piece? Early intervention that actually works.
